As an Atlanta native, cold weather and I are not the best of friends. We hibernate at the first sign of extreme weather (I even decided against attending Howard University because I needed a bubble coat during the Spring Break visitor tour - Spelman was the best decision anyway, but I digress :)). But, as busy women, we can't always avoid braving the cold. 👀
I've always keptaninfinity scarf within arm's reach - in my car, in my bag - you name it. It was my go-to for a quick head cover, especially during my days in corporate America when I had to walk quite a distance to my building. (See the many selfies I took on my morning commutes from 2011-2016. I was not a happy camper. 😩🧣❄️)
(PS - It is wild to me how these random selfies on my morning commute became product design inspiration for a company I started years later. 🤯 Just a reminder that you're always on the journey - believe that and take lots of photos to prove it later.😉💫🧾)
But those flimsy materials did little to combat the cold, and the hair static and cotton balls left in my hair were not cute!
One time I walked into the office with part of my hair sticking up after snatching off my scarf? Yep, looked like I'd had a close encounter with a socket. A mess.
I also noticed many of you pairing our Classic Rain Hat with a hood or scarf in winter (I was doing the same). You didn't ask for it, but I saw a need. And that's how I got the idea for the Hairbrella Infinity Rain Scarf.
So, in true Hairbrella fashion, born out of frustration with the elements and the lackluster headwear in the market, I set out to create the ultimate infinity scarf. A scarf that doesn't just promise warmth but also keeps your hair looking fabulous.
We crafted it from scratch (as always), using our premium knit fabric with hydrophobic technology. It's not just waterproof but also repels moisture - be it rain, sleet, or snow, you'll stay warm, cozy, and dry!
The design process was a journey - countless patterns to ensure the scarf sat perfectly around your neck, with a sleek, satin-lined hood that doubles as an infinity scarf. It was crucial that it looked like a high-quality scarf even without the hood. Versatility was key!
I'm thrilled to re-introduce this scarf to you now that the weather is getting colder.
When we released it earlier this year, it was our first step into outerwear, 👀 and we're eager for you to experience the comfort and luxury of the Hairbrella Infinity Rain Scarf. The journey from concept to sharing it with you is always exhilarating, and I can't wait to unveil what else we have in store for the rest of 2024. ❤️
