🌟 Founder Friday: My Journey, Our Mission, and the Power of Black Business Month 🌟

Hi Hairbrella Family,

Happy Founder Friday! As we celebrate Black Business Month, I want to share something deeply personal—my "Why", and why this month resonates so strongly with me. 🖤

Inspired to Innovate

My journey began with an episode of Oprah, featuring Sara Blakely talking about turning a simple idea and $500 into Spanx, a revolutionary brand for women. That moment sparked something in me; I felt a call to action—“You're supposed to do that.”

But as I searched for Black female inventors who mirrored Sara's path, I found inspiring stories like Madam CJ Walker's, yet none about a consumer products company from this century. It struck me: why aren’t there contemporary stories of Black women transforming novel ideas into unicorn-status companies?

Filling the Gap

This realization wasn't just a disappointment; it became my mission. Why shouldn't we, as Black women, also take our rightful place in product innovation and business ownership? It’s high time we make our mark, serving the world and strengthening our communities. Leaving my career as a corporate lawyer, I set out to build Hairbrella—not just as a business, but as a beacon for Black female entrepreneurs who dream of turning their visions into realities.

A Commitment to Community and Innovation

Hairbrella isn’t just a product; it's a promise. A promise to pave the way for future Black innovators who may lack resources but not determination. Every email from you about choosing to support Black businesses fuels this mission, reminding me of the impact we can have.

Empowering Aspiring Entrepreneurs

A Special Thank You

Your support does more than sustain a business—it builds a legacy. With every purchase, review, and share, you’re part of Hairbrella's story—a story I believe will be remembered as a catalyst for future innovation and a testament to the power of believing in our dreams.

Let’s keep this momentum going.

Together, we can ensure that Hairbrella and many more Black-owned businesses become household names and symbols of success and resilience.

Thank you for being on this journey with me. Here’s to creating history together and making every Black Business Month a celebration of progress and potential.

Warmest regards,

Tracey
